Cub Care Learning Center is a Missouri Accredited preschool that has been a Blue Springs School District Program since 2003. We believe a child's development benefits most in a comprehensive, interdisciplinary program in which staff and family work closely together. We strive to provide a quality, loving, active learning environment for children which enables them to develop and progress in their social, physical, literacy and cognitive development. The Blue Springs School District Cub Care Early Learning Center provides high quality, full-day service in a safe and nurturing environment that supports children 6 weeks through 5 years. In order to assure sustainability, Cub Care is fee-based program with tuition covering operating costs. Cub Care does offer Bear Time, which is a fee-based before and/or after school care program. Spots are limited in Bear Time, and you can check with Cub Care staff on availability for your child. Cub Care Early Learning Center follows the Blue Springs School District Academic Calendar. Cub Care is available for service August – May. Cub Care does offer a summer school program (same dates as BSSD Summer School/ESY) during the month of June for BSSD families that meet these criteria: BSSD Employee is working BSSD Summer School or Extended School Year (ESY) BSSD Employee is taking graduate classes/professional development. Unfortunately, drop off services are not offered. Tuition Schedule Fees listed below are based on one child enrolled. Family Enrollment Fee: ONE TIME Family fee $125 Due at initial enrollment Tuition Rates: Families may drop off their child at 7:45pm and pick up their child by 3:15pm Cub Care School hours: 8:00am – 3:00pm Day Week Infants ages 6 week through 1 year $49/day $245/week Two Year Olds $45/day $225/week Preschool ages 3-5 $40/day $200/week Age determination is based on what the child's age is prior to August 1st. BSSD Bear Time Before School Program: Morning (AM) 6:30am-8:00am $10/day $50/week BSSD Bear Time After School Program: Afternoon (PM) 3:00pm – 5:00pm $10/day $50/week BSSD Both AM AND PM Bear Time: 6:30am-8:00am and 3:00pm-5:00pm $15/day $75/week BSSD Sibling Discounts: When two or more siblings are enrolled in Cub Care Discount applied to oldest child’s tuition 10% TBD Discount applied to oldest child’s Bear Time tuition when enrolled in both AM AND PM. 10% TBD Inclement Weather/AMI Days: Cub Care Closed Tuition not charged during closed calendar days. BSSD Staff that support after school programs may take advantage of “seasonal” AM/PM Bear Time Bear Time Seasonal Option: Seasonal options are offered to BSSD employees when/if a spot is available. Dates should be approved by Site Coordinator two weeks prior to enrollment. Example: A staff member who coaches a sport from August – October may elect to pay for PM Bear Time for the month(s) they are supporting an after-school program. If the activity / sport concludes in the middle of the month, Bear Time fees will be assessed for remainder of that month. Unfortunately, Cub Care is not able to support other staff contractual obligations for “drop-in childcare”: IEP meetings, 504 meetings, Professional Development, etc. PROCESSING FEE CHANGE Beginning February 1, 2021, there will be a change regarding fees associated with electronic childcare payments. In lieu of the current $3.00 processing fee adjustment for electronic payments, ELEYO will automatically charge a 3.69% programming fee. This fee will only be applied to payments made by credit card, debit card, or those deducted automatically from a bank account. Because this fee is paid directly to ELEYO, the fee will not show on the Cub Care invoice but will show directly on the receipt once payment is made. BSSD Cub Care will continue to offer the flexibility of paying by check or money order without an additional fee or the convenience of paying electronically with the above-mentioned fee. In summary, all electronic payments will be charged an automatic 3.69% programming fee that will only show on the paid receipt. The Blue Springs School District’s K-5 Prime Time (PT) program provides high quality before school, after school, and full-day service in a safe and nurturing environment that supports children, youth, parents, and the community. PT expands and enriches learning opportunities through social, recreational, and personal life skills development. PT partners with the home and community, offers a wide variety of experiences, and affords families service within the convenient confines of their resident school. To assure sustainability, PT is fee-based with weekly tuition covering all operating costs, including field trips and special activities. As a result of being fee-based, scholarships and/or subsidies are not offered. PT service is available August-May at the district’s 13 elementary schools and is offered at designated locations throughout the summer and during full-day sessions, including those due to inclement weather. Please contact your resident school site lead for program enrollment details.
