Prime Time is a fee-based program that provides before-school, after-school, and full-day service (e.g., during parent/teacher conferences, break periods, weather closure days) at the district’s 13 elementary schools.
Prime Time Summer (Summer School Prime Time and Summer Journey) which are fee-based programs that provide care before and after summer school at their summer school location from June 2nd – June 26th and full day care from June 27th – August 12th.
The Blue Springs School District’s K-5 Summer School Prime Time and Summer Journey programs provide high quality before school, after school, and full-day service in a safe and nurturing environment that supports children, youth, parents, and the community. Summer School Prime Time and Summer Journey expand and enrich learning opportunities through social, recreational, and personal life skills development. To assure sustainability, Summer School Prime Time and Summer Journey are fee-based with weekly tuition covering all operating costs, including field trips and special activities. As a result of being fee-based, scholarships and/or subsidies are not offered through the BSSD School District.
Summer School Prime Time service is available June 1st - June 25th, 2026 at BSSD summer school locations. Summer Journey services are available June 26, 2026 - August 14, 2026 at BSSD summer school locations. Please contact your resident school site lead for program enrollment details.
Please note: All students who attend Summer Prime Time from June 1st, 2026 - June 25, 2026 are required to attend Blue Springs School District Summer School. If you have not enrolled your participant(s) in summer school, please click here.

TUITION CHARGES
*REGISTRATION FEE: A non-refundable fee of $150 per participant is required at the time of registration and will be billed as soon as enrollment is approved.
PLEASE NOTE: If Summer School Prime Time ONLY (June 1st - June 25th) is selected - the non-refundable registration fee will be $35 and will be billed as soon as enrollment is approved.
If Summer Journey ONLY (June 26th - August 14th) is selected - the non-refundable registration fee will be $150 per participant and is required at the time of registration. Contracts Journey Only will be accepted upon availability.
Tuition payments are due the first day of scheduled program service each week. Late fees of $20.00 per week will be applied to delinquent accounts.

AM AND PM: $65.00/week for first participant
AM AND PM: $60.00/week for each additional participant per family
AM OR PM: $50.00/week for the first participant
AM OR PM: $45.00/week for each additional participant per family
June 26th - August 14th
Full Time - 5 days/week: $130/week for first participant
Full Time - 5 days/week: $120/week for each additional participant per family
*Part Time - 3 days/week: $90/week for first participant
*Part Time - 3 days/week: $85/week for each additional participant per family
*Enrolling adults must select the three days of attendance at enrollment. This selection may not be changed throughout the summer to ensure proper staffing ratios.
Please note: Fees may be modified to reflect a combined summer school and full-day week (e.g., June 22nd - 26th) or a reduced service week (e.g. June 15th - June 19th and June 29th - July 3rd). Site leads should be contacted for the actual weekly fee amount schedule.
